(50 Proof) Apple Jack is a traditional Scottish Hard Spirit. Great-Uncle Tim finally handed the secret family recipe down to our Master Distiller. Our Apple Jack is made from organic, heritage seed apples grown on private organic orchards near High Mark Distillery. There are only a handful of distilleries in America currently making true Apple Jack—we are one of them. Apple Jack is great as a hot toddy in the winter, and fantastic over ice in the summer. All across America, folks used to press apples from their orchards, and make apple cider. They would keep their cider and barrels to age in barns. As Autumn came on, and temperatures dropped, the cider would begin to freeze in the barrels, creating a frosty fermented beverage called "Apple Jack". Folks would skim the ice off the top and scoop up cups of this Jack to be enjoyed by ladies and gentlemen alike. Our Apple Jack is made from the finest red apples, grown specifically for our secret family recipe. There are only a handful of distilleries in America currently making Apple Jack - we are one of them.
